Uping the Effort

On February 28th I have an appointment with a fertility doctor.  I think you are supposed to refer to them as REs (reproductive endocrinologists) but I tend to use non-technical terms.  Examples: gynecologists - "girl doctors" obstetricians - "baby doctors" (sometimes I also refer to them as overeager surgeons who love to make birth as scary and traumatic as possible, but that is a bit long for everyday use) podiatrists - "foot doctors" proctologists - "butt doctors" You get the point.  Interestingly enough pediatricians I allow to use their technical term.  For some reason "child doctor" just doesn't sound right.  Anyways, on the 28th I will pay a man $295 to talk to me.  Now I don't mind paying it, but I really feel that almost $300 an hour is a bit extreme.  It is cheaper than what other places charge though. I already know what I want done, based mainly on financial reasons as this is all coming out of my pocket (or

Links!

So I spend to much time on the computer.  I also add links to my Facebook page WAY to much.  In an effort not to overload my friends with links to sites they may or may not be interested in, I am going to share all of these links (that I found today) in a blog entry.  Which I then will post on my Facebook page. *I will also try and figure out how to get a links page on my blog.  I don't know if this is possible since my knowledge of web design is pretty much non-existant* Big Family Shirts  - A lot of shirts I would LOVE to own.  If I had the money to buy them that is.  Realistically I should probably just go get them made.  Also, they are a Vision Forum Affiliate, which makes me like them quite a big :) Ladies Against Feminism  - A great site with lots of articles on why feminism is bad, as well as relevant news. Childless Not By Choice  - A community of women that have not been able to have children despite wanting them desperately.  For those still trying, and those who

Something Uninteresting

I'm again late for my period.  I just thought everyone should know.  I usually have a 26 day cycle, and I am on cycle day 28.  Going to wait a good long time to test this time since I wasted my tests last month during my longest cycle ever.  Probably 2 weeks from Friday, since that will be really late and a payday.  Or maybe just on the 1st when I get paid again.  That is a whole week late.  But I will only test then if I have reason to believe I might be pregnant, you know peeing all the time (more than I already do), being sick alot, being super tired even though I sleep enough, otherwise I will wait.  I REALLY hate my body when it comes to anything hormonal.

A Sad Day

Not today, but tomorrow will be sad.  Michael is going on a business trip.  Seeing as how he is a delivery driver, you wouldn't think he would need to go on business trips.  But he just got the driver position, and apparently they don't do training anywhere in Oregon, so he has to fly down to California.  He leave the house tomorrow morning at 10 ish, and won't come back until Sunday night around 10 ish.  I don't mind sleeping alone, unlike some married ladies I know (is it okay to refer to myself as a lady?  Seems almost vain, but hey its my blog so I guess I can do what I want), but I still prefer him to be next to me.  But to look on the bright side, I will get to sprawl out on the bed, pick all the TV/movies that I watch, eat TV dinners (yes I think this is the bright side, as much as I love to cook, I love to eat fast food, boxed food, and frozen food), have less dishes to do, and hopefully I will go to bed early enough to get up and take a walk before the kid

A Trip To Joann's

Yesterday I went to Joann's.  For those of you who don't know, this is a fabric/craft store.  It is pretty much amazing, and my dad (on the advice of my sister) gave me a gift card for Christmas.  I don't go out much without Michael and so yesterday was the first time I was able to go since I got it. I, of course, used a 50% off one regular priced item coupon, and (thank you Android phone) had a 20% off total purchase coupon.  Plus Joann's has the best sales, which is why I prefer shopping there to shopping at other fabric stores.  So for less than $15 I got enough fabric to make two more skirts, a Pound of Love that I am going to use to make a baby blanket and an embroidery hoop so I can finally work on my dad's Christmas present.  Yeah its a little late but he know I love him.  Normally this would have cost around $30, so I did good!  I think I will be able to make both skirts today, which is both disappointing and exciting.  I am REALLY bad at sewing, so I

Twenties Girl

I decided to do some book reviews on my blog.  The reasons for this are threefold*. 1. I like books 2. I don't have alot to say sometimes 3. I like to give my opinions on things.  Opinions on books don't tend to annoy/offend people. Twenties Girl is written by Sophie Kinsella, who is pretty much my favorite author.  Yes, I realize this makes me rather shallow and pathetic, and I should pick some classic author, but you know what, I can't help it, I LOVE good Chick Lit.  Incidently, I don't usually care to much for Chick Flicks anymore...  Sophie Kinsella also wrote the Shopaholic series (books NOT the movie, which sucked big time), which I HIGHLY recommend, as well as some other fun novels. Twenties Girl is about a 20-something girl named Lara.  While she is at her great aunt's funeral, she happens to meet her great aunt.  Yes, this book is about someone being haunted, but its not SciFi or mystery or anything.  I mean there is a mystery, but the ghost th

Rachel's Great Idea

So the last few evenings I have been doing something really embarassing with my time.  And I am going to admit it on here, even though I avoided saying exactly what it was on my facebook. I have been reading Baby-sitters Club blogs.  I can't help it.  I'm a fan of the BSC on facebook, and someone linked to their blog, which was nice, but had just started so there wasn't much to read.  But her blog linked to another blog, which of course linked to other blogs and so on and so forth.  As if that isn't pathetic enough, I read almost all of one blog (that was 3-4 years old) that night, but I skipped over the ones that were reviewing the books I either had not read, or could not remember reading.  After all I don't want to spoil the surprise.  Yes, you read that right.  The surprise.  These are books that give away half the plot on the back and always end happily ever after.  Oh yeah and they were written for like 9 year olds.  But I still plan on reading them *somed

Skinny, Tidy, and Well-Read

That is what I hope to be by the end of this year.  I know New Year's Resolutions are stupid, and not really going to help, but really for me it was just a good timeline.  Plus I didn't start on New Years so it doesn't count.  I am pretty determined to lose about 20 pounds in the next few months, that will put me back at my High School weight.  Well I was determined to lose 20 pounds, but now its only 17!  WooHoo (and I don't mean having sex in the Sims, its just an exclamation)! To do so I am eating Yoghurt in the mornings (along with toast or cereal if I remember), and Slim-Fast (or rather Slim Supreme since I am cheap and buy off-brand everything but ketchup) for lunch.  I am only supposed to have between 1,200 and 1,550 calories a day until I reach my goal weight when it raises to between 1,500 and 1,800, which will be awesome.  By doing the dieting things in the early day, I still have at least 800 calories left for dinner and snack.  At least 300 of them are u
