HI! My name is Rachel! Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my blog, and please know that I read each and every comment, and make a sincere effort to reply to them.


I am 30 years old and have been happily married for 10 years. My husband and I live in a small town in Oregon. We bought a house 2012 with plans to fix it up, but so far it looks very, very similar to when we moved in.

I am a conservative Christian and try to put God first, but don't always succeed at that. I am also a wannabe hippie. Which basically means that I do weird things like use "mama cloth", but I still love to drink soda and eat McDonald's.

I am a housewife, which I love.  I am not very good at it, as in my house is never very clean and my meals are very random.  I have one little boy, whom I call Little Guy on my blog, he is four, and such a joy.  If you click on the following link, you can read my infertility story.


I am not a super awesome writer, but I really enjoy writing, and hope you enjoy reading what I write. I also hope that I can help other people who are going through infertility know that other people are going through it with them. Something that I would love to do (but fail miserably at) is write really great posts on Biblical topics, but I am prone to rambling when I try.

God Made You Just Right by Jill Roman Lord - A Review

Most of the books I review are for adults, but I got a chance to review God Made You Just Right, which is a board book.  From the back of the book: You're brilliantly created, and there's no one else like you!  With simple, rhyming text and whimsical illustrations, this book is a welcome reminder for little ones that God created each of us in just the right way. I love the artwork, it is colorful and engaging, which should catch the attention of small children, but still nice to look at for adults.  The text is encouraging and has a good rhyme pattern, which I always appreciate in books for small children.  It isn't a story, but poetry telling children that God knew exactly what He was doing when He created each part of each person.  I love that it talks about the things you uniquely need to be able to fulfill God's plan for you. At the end of the book is Jeremiah 29:11, which gives scriptural support to the rest of the book.  My only...
