What's In The Mother Goose Time Box? Part Two

Last time I gave an overview of what was in my Mother Goose Time box for December.  Today I will give more details on exactly what kinds of things are in each specific bag.  I will probably do a few of these, because I want to keep them reasonably short, and there is a TON of stuff!  Just so you know I have been messing with this curriculum a lot since I got it, and there might be a few pieces that ended up back in the wrong bags.

Like I said last time, the first bag is an introductory bag.  It has the Getting Started guide, which has an overview of how to use the curriculum and set up your circle time display, and some additional information.  You only get this bag once a year.

This is my display (you provide your own board or tape it to the wall).  Some of the stuff is on the back (friendly bees, world map, and color palette).  The guide and CD, extra labels and school stuff is not pictured because that picture got corrupted...
The Circle Time Display includes a number tree, alphabet strip (which you are supposed cut to look like grass, but I just taped it on there all lazy like), month labels for the calendar, an artist's palette for the color of the month, a friendly bee hive with a ribbon for character traits, a world map, Mother Goose and her nest, a weather sign and weather pieces, day of the week clouds, cloud labels and a Circle Time CD.  It has velcro and clothespins for the changing pieces.  Also included are Investigation Station signs (for different play areas such as math, sensory, dramatic play, etc.), a Family Information Guide, and I'm a Little Helper Booklet.  These pieces probably won't be used at our house, and are intended more for preschools.

This is most of the stuff for December.  Some of the stuff (letter "V" and /v/ phonics cards, calendar, poster and number 7) is already on the Circle Time display.
Each month you get new Circle Time display pieces, which come in their own bag.  You get a calendar and calendar numbers that match the theme and/or season, a theme poster, letter flags for the letters of the month, a friendly bee that says what the character trait of the month is, a Circle Time CD that correlates with the theme and a song ring so you can know the words, a paint brush and color daub, phonics photo cards, global friends for the world map, big numbers and number leaves for your number tree, the shape of the month, and hands on letters of the month.

God Made You Just Right by Jill Roman Lord - A Review

Most of the books I review are for adults, but I got a chance to review God Made You Just Right, which is a board book.  From the back of the book: You're brilliantly created, and there's no one else like you!  With simple, rhyming text and whimsical illustrations, this book is a welcome reminder for little ones that God created each of us in just the right way. I love the artwork, it is colorful and engaging, which should catch the attention of small children, but still nice to look at for adults.  The text is encouraging and has a good rhyme pattern, which I always appreciate in books for small children.  It isn't a story, but poetry telling children that God knew exactly what He was doing when He created each part of each person.  I love that it talks about the things you uniquely need to be able to fulfill God's plan for you.
