This post was originally posted on August 31, 2013. Although I didn't intend this post to be dishonest, I have since learned that this corset is very, very low quality. Corsetchick.com is no longer in business, so I have gotten rid of all the links. Additions to the original post are in pink.
Sometimes I do silly things. Like apply for a product review of a corset. I really wanted a corset, and didn't think about the fact that it doesn't really fit with the theme of my blog. At this point, I don't think my blog has a theme. Other than "life"... But I wanted it to go under the vintage dresses I might someday make, so I guess it is a little relevant (yeah grasping at straws LOL). It will definitely happen again, because any chance to get awesome products for free is definitely my cup of tea (or Dr. Pepper, since I hate tea).
I have to warn you that the links in the post go to a lingerie website, and therefore are not safe for work, children, or husbands. There is no FULL nudity, but it is lingerie... There are no longer any links because the company is out of business.
CorsetChick.com let me choose any corset on their website that was under $30. Which was a huge selection! I was really surprised, because corsets tend to be expensive. Actually there is a plethora of low priced, poor quality corsets available, I just hadn't done the research at that point.
I chose an underbust corset because I have pretty ginormous boobs, so I didn't think a full corset would really fit me well. There actually are overbust corsets for busty girls, but they probably were not available on this website. The corset that I got was awesome. It was not. I was completely uneducated on the topic, and had no experience with any other corsets, or even shapewear. It has steel closures and 12 bones. They are not steel bones, so this corset wouldn't work for waist-training, but they do have corsets that are designed for waist-training, and they are only $99.99. Which is a ton of money, but not for a waist-training corset. Actually, there are a lot of off the rack corsets from reputable stores, that are less expensive. All I had really looked at at the time were custom made corsets.
Actually it is probably the fault of the corset. A corset that fits correctly is tight only on your waist, not on your ribs or hips. And stuffing myself with delicious food and beverage. It is not an uncomfortable material, and its soft and seems to be nice quality.
Overall I am very happy with the corset, and would recommend Corsetchick.com to anyone that wants/needs a corset. Nope. I would not, for a couple of reasons. One: It doesn't exist anymore, and Two: After learning more about corsets and waist training, I realize that this is an inferior product. I would also recommend not overeating and then putting on a corset. Your stomach makes some crazy sounds!
Let me elaborate on WHY this corset is subpar. Do you see the slight hourglass shape to my figure in the above picture? Yeah, that is ALL ME. Not the corset. It is achieved only by cinching the middle of the corset tighter than the hips and underbust/ribs. I don't have a picture of it, because taking a picture of my back is difficult and I didn't think to do it. But it is bad for the corset to be laced with the boning curved like that.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Unfortunately this was a bad recommendation based on a lack of knowledge on the topic, and I apologize.

The corset itself has almost no shape. I have a very hard time telling which end is up, which is going to give me a terrible fit since my hips are much larger than my underbust/ribs. My body, and probably most women's, body is already noticeable curvier than this corset. I cannot tighten it enough to even shrink my waist, because the top and bottom of the corset are almost the same measurement as the waist when the laces are parallel, and it is pretty much impossible to shrink your hips and ribs. So I am uncomfortable, and my waist isn't any smaller, just smoother (which is pretty nice, buy not really worth!)
