Last Minute Stocking Stuffers - Scripture Stickies

If you are anything like me, you are barely even started with Christmas shopping.  I don't know why, I mean I grew up with a mother that is done shopping before Thanksgiving.  I think it has something to do with never having money and having a husband that likes to just go to the store and get everything at once.

There is still enough time to order things online, and Scripture Stickies would make a great stocking stuffer.

Basically they are post-it notes with Bible verses printed on them.  They are inexpensive, removable, and should stick safely to pretty much any surface.  The purpose is to help you memorize verses by putting them in places that you will see them all the time.

There are Christmas ones, which would go great in Christmas cards (although its a bit late for that now I guess).  There are lots of variety of verses, including God Has A Plan, Give Thanks, Keep Praying, and at least a dozen more.  You get to choose the translation (KJV, NIV, ESV, etc) of the verses too, which is awesome.

They also have kids ones, which a little bigger and use a larger font.

It is $2.99 for a set of 10.  Shipping is free!  To purchase them go to Scripture Stickies.  You can checkout with Paypal.

PS:  Be careful when you open the package.  They ship in a regular envelope and if you tear open the side it can rip the Scripture Stickies :(  So make sure you open it with the flap!

I won a set of these in a giveaway, and in return for a review, she sent me an extra set.  All opinions are my own.

Manipulatives Monday GIVEAWAY from Mother Goose Time - closed

Giveaway closed! Thank you so much to everyone who entered, I really appreciate it! I have excellent news!  Today is Manipulatives Monday, and Mother Goose Time  is giving away a great prize!  One lucky winner will receive TWO bags of manipulatives!  Mother Goose Time will chose the prizes, but I assure you, whatever they send will be a lot of fun for your children! Manipulatives are a big hit in our house.  Every month we get two new bags of manipulatives, and every month Little Guy asks if he can play with them before the month starts.  The answer is always no, but he tries every month anyways.  During the month we use them for the assigned activities but after we are done with the curriculum, I let him add them to his toy collection. One thing that is in almost every box is a set of counters.  These are often in the shape of animals, which are Little Guy's favorites.  They are used for a variety of activities, and are alwa...

Breastfeeding An Adopted Child - The Tenth Day of Christmas

Today we are hearing from Teglene.  Her story is pretty long, but trust me, it is totally worth reading through!  She also has a great blog, called The Breastfeeding Mother . I always knew I wanted to breastfeed my children. I couldn ’t imagine doing it any differently. I was lucky enough to give birth to two beautiful boys and I enjoyed breastfeeding them both. Not that it was easy or without struggle, but it was what I wanted to do and loved doing it. In fact, I liked it so much, and felt so passionate about breastfeeding that I became a La Leche League Leader, so that I could help other breastfeeding moms. I really took to the idea of “Mothering through breastfeeding”. It wasn ’t just a feeding method for me, but a relationship with my child. My husband and I always talked about adopting a child who needed a family. We thought, if we can’t have kids of our own then we will adopt. Even if we can have kids of our own, maybe we will still adopt. After the birt...
