"Is That a Ford Mustang?" and Other Cute Car Quips

My husband loves cars.  He plays a lot of racing video games right now, and so Little Guy is learning to like cars too.  He has been able to recognize Volkswagen Beetles for a long time, and will often see the "slug bugs" before I do.  But recently he is making an effort to learn new cars, so often when we take walks, he asks me "Is that a Ford Mustang?", or something along those lines.

He is getting better at recognizing them, and always gets excited when he is right, and says "Just like mine!" (he has a couple of Ford Mustang Hot Wheels Cars).

Michael likes Nissan Skylines, and was driving them a lot in The Crew, so Little Guy is certain they are the best cars.  The other day we were in the car and he said "I'm going to have a Nissan Skyline." (side note for those that don't know, they don't sell Skylines in the USA, so that will be quite a feat)  I said "Daddy wants a Skyline too."  His reply was "I race him in my Nissan Skyline!"

I hate motorcycles.  Two of my cousins, and one of my friends, have been in insanely horrifying motorcycle accidents.  So I am quite eager to teach my son he shouldn't EVER ride a motorcycle.  Whenever we see one, he points it out, and then says "I don't like motorcycles."  I then ask him why, and he says "They are dangerous!"

Comfy Joey Wool Sling Review and Giveaway

Did you enter to win the $25 Comfy Joey voucher and lose?  Well, GREAT NEWS!  Comfy Joey is amazingly generous and I am able to offer not one, but TWO more vouchers!  Along with the Dolly Sling, I was also given a Newborn Wool Sling .  I was super excited when I got the sling in the mail.  I love baby-wearing , and trying out new carriers is always fun. The Newborn Wool Slings are for use between birth and 25lbs.  Miss Baby is 25 lbs. so she is right at the top of the weight limit (they are safe up to 30 lbs. 25lbs. is for comfort).  It is a handwash in cold water item and should be air dried.  This sling is so cozy and cuddly that I have not gotten a chance to use it very much, because we have had a quite warm summer.  It is a grey, tan, and cream houndstooth with silver rings, which means it matches everything you could possibly want to wear it with.  The sling is very well made, and the rails are pretty easy to adjust. ...

Manipulatives Monday GIVEAWAY from Mother Goose Time - closed

Giveaway closed! Thank you so much to everyone who entered, I really appreciate it! I have excellent news!  Today is Manipulatives Monday, and Mother Goose Time  is giving away a great prize!  One lucky winner will receive TWO bags of manipulatives!  Mother Goose Time will chose the prizes, but I assure you, whatever they send will be a lot of fun for your children! Manipulatives are a big hit in our house.  Every month we get two new bags of manipulatives, and every month Little Guy asks if he can play with them before the month starts.  The answer is always no, but he tries every month anyways.  During the month we use them for the assigned activities but after we are done with the curriculum, I let him add them to his toy collection. One thing that is in almost every box is a set of counters.  These are often in the shape of animals, which are Little Guy's favorites.  They are used for a variety of activities, and are alwa...
